In 1912, three years after The University of Queensland was established, the Methodist Church established a residential college affiliated with the University. Twenty-two students, all men, entered King’s College on Kangaroo Point in 1913, including six candidates for the Methodist ministry, as the College was also a Theological Hall. In the century since its foundation, King’s has moved with the University to spacious grounds at St Lucia, and expanded under seven Masters to accommodate 298 resident university students, still all men. Trevor Faragher's book describes the challenges and changes that the men and Masters of King’s have responded to, and what they have achieved during those 100 years.
